Job Description:
We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our team in Arcata, CA. The CLS will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze, interpret, and report test results to assist in patient care.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate testing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License – Required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Proficiency in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Shift & Schedule:
- Night shift position.
- Six 12-hour shifts (Thursday - Tuesday) followed by eight days off.
- Some shifts on Thursday, Monday, and Tuesday may be 10 hours, while Friday through Sunday shifts must be 12 hours.
- 40 guaranteed hours per week.
- Start ASAP.
Healthcare Setting:
