What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at JobSource?
The Maintenance Mechanic installs, maintains, and troubleshoots production equipment and general building maintenance. Performs advanced electrical work, trouble shooting and installation.
Responsibilities Include:
Troubleshoot equipment making electrical, HVAC, welding, and mechanical repairs
Maintain the upkeep of all machinery for the manufacturing facility
Assisting other mechanics in the performance of work
Install, repair, and/or rebuild mechanical equipment based on drawings, diagrams
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Conduct preventive maintenance machinery cylinders, motors, pneumatic tools, pneumatic systems, and production machines; follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications;
Preventative maintenance and repair tasks include, but are not limited to, machine alignment, sensor adjustments/replacement, hose and fitting replacements, belt changes and greasing bearings.
Maintains equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with GMP’s, rules, and regulations.
Must be able to perform the physical demands of pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, walking,
crawling, and climbing
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent OR Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance
Five (5) years’ experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing facility
Food industry experience helpful but not required
Must be available to work weekends
Basic mechanical, welding, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, and building maintenance experience,
education, and certification would be helpful for this position.
Pay based on experience
Salary : $23 - $30
