About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Procurement Agent to manage subcontracts, drive supplier performance, and lead supplier competitions within the defense industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and program management teams. Key Responsibilities: Subcontract Management
- Manage subcontracts in compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations, ensuring proper contract flow-downs and adherence throughout the supply chain.
- Support proposal development and cost estimation for prime contractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual and performance standards.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and support competitive supplier selection processes, evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, and performance metrics.
- Negotiate contracts and drive best-value sourcing decisions.
- Work closely with engineering, finance, and program management teams to ensure contractual and operational alignment.
- Contribute to strategic sourcing decisions based on financial analysis and industry trends.
- Manage procurement efforts in advanced composites, machining, and structures.
- Leverage expertise in these supply bases to ensure efficient and cost-effective sourcing.
- 10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or subcontracting within the defense industry.
- Deep understanding of FAR/DFARS regulations and compliance best practices.
- Proven experience in supplier selection, competitive bidding, and subcontract negotiations.
- Strong supplier management skills with a focus on best-value sourcing.
- Experience in estimating, financial analysis, and proposal development (Preferred).
- Knowledge of advanced composites, machining, and structures supply bases (Highly Desirable).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and share best practices.
