Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, identify and develop appropriate curriculum, instruction and project-based learning classes geared towards raising academic skills and technology competencies.
  • Oversee the continued development and delivery of classes and workshops that align with youth development principles including successful preparation for post-secondary education and employment.
  • Work in conjunction with HLCCTL Director and other key stakeholders to refine, assess and evaluate all programs
  • Develop and strengthen relationships, communication and engagement of partner schools, colleges, and parents
  • Refine and implement an effective outreach strategy to raise the visibility and growth of the Teen program
  • Oversee enrollment/retention of youth in the after school and College Access programs.
  • Oversee the daily schedule and activities for the Teen program.
  • Ensure the management of an effective administrative system, including familiarity with ETO and PCAPS database systems and the student intake system
  • Contribute to grant/contract application compliance process
  • Collect, review, and analyze assessment data and ensure that internal and external reporting documentation is accurately completed/submitted on time
  • Develop Teen operating budget and manage program within budget.
  • Supervise program staff including all specialists, instructors, and support staff
  • Support the professional development of staff through regularly scheduled staff meetings, program planning/professional development sessions and external training.

Education and Experience Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Education (Master's Degree Preferred) or related field with a minimum of 5-7 years related experience
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with at-risk students in an urban environment;
  • Knowledge of the utilization of technology-based classroom learning
  • Budget management
  • Excellent organization, verbal, written & interpersonal skills
  • Experience in overseeing and/or contributing to college access & readiness programs, and employment preparation & internship instruction preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Excellent organization, planning and reporting skills;
  • Strong relationship building & networking skills;
  • Ability to work independently and function as an integral part of a team;
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in curriculum development preferred
  • An understanding of project-based learning preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

Pay: $59,994.00 - $62,039.00 per year
