We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join the team of a multifaceted downtown Baltimore law firm. You would be joining the firm's Medical Malpractice/Litigation Group. You will be part of a team that defends healthcare providers in medical malpractice lawsuits and Board of Physician matters. You will work closely with multiple attorneys who have been recognized as the most distinguished in Maryland in representation of hospitals and physician practice groups, and support in lobbying and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for someone looking to become a trial attorney.
This position is ideal for a candidate looking to develop into a skilled trial attorney. The role involves direct participation in all aspects of litigation, including:
- Trying cases and preparing cases for trial
- Taking and defending depositions
- Preparing witnesses for depositions and trial testimony
- Attending mediations and settlement conferences
- Arguing motions and participating in court hearings
- Conducting legal research and drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Licensed in MD or MD Bar Admission Pending
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Ability to work as part of a team
