Position Summary
The research assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our Impact team by assisting in conducting phone interviews, focus groups, data analysis and report preparations. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in how to conduct both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis in a non-profit setting where there is an emphasis on ensuring incorporation of community voice in programmatic delivery and decision-making.
This position is a hybrid role with minimum 1 day in office per week. The Research Assistant will report to the Senior Research Analyst.
This is a contract position lasting for 15 months. Additionally, this position is budgeted for 15-20 hours per week.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with data collection through survey, focus groups and interviews.
Assist with data analysis : quantitative and qualitative.
Assist with data reporting including data visualizations, interpretations and narratives.
Participate in data interpretation meetings with program staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related areas, such as Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Business Analysis, with survey research methods and Statistics training.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
Knowledge of Power BI and / or R is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits :
JobTrain offers a competitive salary, numerous health benefit plans and premium coverage of 90%, vision and dental, flex spending and HSA programs, 401K with a 5% match after joining, EAP and emergency services, vacation time, paid sick leave, long-term disability and life insurance. We also pay employees for 10 observed holidays including a whole week off between Christmas Eve and New Years Day.
The targeted pay range for this position is $25
