ENGINEERING MANAGER

Position Overview : The Engineering Manager will be responsible for building, leading, and managing the engineering department. This role will be pivotal in establishing processes, developing a strong team, and driving the design and execution of metal building projects. The ideal candidate has deep experience in metal building design, is proficient in both MBS (for design) and Tekla (for drawing), and is excited to contribute to the company's long-term success.
Key Responsibilities : Build and Lead the Engineering Department :
Develop the structure, processes, and team required to create an efficient and high-performing engineering division.Team Development :
Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and designers to ensure successful project execution and foster a collaborative work environment.Process Development :
Establish best practices, processes, and procedures for engineering workflows, from concept to completion, ensuring quality and efficiency.Metal Building Design :
Utilize your expertise in metal building systems (MBS) and Tekla to oversee and contribute to the design and drawing process.Project Management :
Lead engineering projects, coordinate with other departments (sales, production, and operations), and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.Innovation and Improvement :
Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes to increase productivity, efficiency, and the quality of designs.Collaboration :
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on company goals and project objectives.Qualifications :
Experience :
7 years of experience in metal building systems design engineering, with a strong background in both MBS and Tekla.Education :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required. A PE (Professional Engineer) license is strongly preferred.Leadership Skills :
Proven experience in building and leading an engineering team, with a focus on mentorship and process development.Technical Expertise :
Proficient in using MBS for metal building design and Tekla for detailed drawings.Problem Solver :
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and effective engineering solutions.Communication :
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present ideas clearly.Commitment to Growth :
