Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition following accidents or damage. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Auto Body Technician will collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform repairs on damaged vehicles, including bodywork, frame straightening, and panel replacement.
- Utilize sheet metal techniques to repair or replace damaged panels and components.
- Execute welding tasks as needed for structural integrity and safety of the vehicle.
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primer as necessary.
- Apply automotive paint using spray guns and ensure a smooth finish that meets quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in sheet metal work and repair techniques.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive issues.
- Experience in welding practices relevant to auto body repair.
- Familiarity with auto painting processes and materials.
- Experience in auto restoration projects is a plus.
