What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Jogue Inc?
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the day to day upkeep and preventative maintenance of our Plymouth facility. The role involves ensuring equipment and infrastructure are in optimal condition, performing routine maintenance, and addressing repairs in a timely manner.
Working Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review of SQF code for Food Manufacturing and ensure the plant is maintained within the guidelines.
- General upkeep of the building and grounds at the Plymouth location. Includes but is not limited to painting, roof repairs, epoxy floors and lights. Travel to other facilities as needed.
- Documented preventative maintenance on HVAC units, forklifts, fans, automated beverage filling line, automated doors, motors, pumps, tanks, metal detection unit, condensate return, boiler, spray dryer and homogenizer as allowed by local ordinance and safety standards. Includes but not limited to greasing/lubricating of all pumps, motors, bearings, conveyors, and tanks in a scheduled manner with a detailed, organized tracker which includes the date, time and service performed. Also in alignment with our SQF requirements.
- Weekly maintenance of all hi-lo and skyjack equipment. Includes but is not limited to ensuring they are properly filled with water and being maintained in a proper manner, perform repairs as needed, maintaining a detailed, organized tracker which includes the date, time and service performed and gathering precheck hi-low forms for future repairs and reference.
- Preventative maintenance of the freezer and cooler as allowed by local ordinance and safety standards.
- Gaining knowledge and understanding of the fully automated bag in box filling line, pail filler, BIB fillers and powder filler, in order to perform repairs and weekly adjustments.
- Daily organization of Maintenance Logs and all training manuals of equipment.
- Performing electrical work, for instance, changing bulbs and fixtures, ensuring all outlets safe and working, replacing fuses and etc.
- Performing minor maintenance and installations, for instance, shelving, hanging signs, drywall repair (patching and painting), plumbing, fixing leaks, replacing hardware, faucets, etc.
- Responsible for clear communication between the company and its outside contractors for work being performed by the contractors.
- Coordination and communication to management when supplies, tools, parts, and new equipment needed to perform tasks successfully.
- Monitoring salt level in the waster softener in the boiler rooms.
- Addressing any work orders sent over by Quality Control or management in a timely manner.
- Developing SOP’s for current equipment being used in the facility.
- Following company protocol for Safety, GMP’s, HACCP and SQF.
Physical Demands:
- Repetition of lifting is standard, however, breaks, back braces and alternating positions must be utilized for protection.
- Use of forklifts, scissor lifts and other equipment shall only be utilized after proper training.
- Frequent walking and standing

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
