Territory Account Manager (Construction/Property Mgmt)

John Evans Recruiting is representing a $70M, family-owned company that manufactures cabinets and countertops for apartment buildings along the East Coast. Their products are all American-made with excellent quality. They also supply all major brands of appliances, along with windows, doors, lighting, and plumbing fixtures. After a century in business, this stable organization has built a fantastic reputation. They want to invest in expanding sales to multi-housing properties in the Northern Virginia market and have added an Account Manager position in the region.

Our client, the Director of Sales in Maryland, is seeking a personable Account Manager based in Northern VA, who will work from home and from the road. The Account Manager will collaborate every day with an established Territory Sales Manager in charge of sales for the Northern VA market.

After the Territory Sales Manager secures a new multi-family housing property, the Account Manager will travel to the property to take measurements in apartments for cabinets, countertops, appliances, etc. The Account Manager will maintain and expand relationships with decision makers for the purchase of these products as well.

The Account Manager will receive a company phone and company car. In lieu of a company car, a substantial car allowance can also be offered for this daily travel role throughout Northern Virginia.

Requirements :

• Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to build rapport with property management companies.
• Ability to measure for replacement countertops and cabinets, while also selling appliances and other kitchen and bath accessories.
• Prior experience with measuring in the construction / remodeling / home center retail / building materials industries.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to travel daily throughout the Northern Virginia market.
• Cabinet and countertop industry experience is a plus.
• Appliance industry experience is a plus.
