John Evans Recruiting is conducting a search for a VP Sales & Marketing for a $125M family-owned manufacturer of sustainable wood products. This client company has been selling their wood-based products to major big box and hardware retailers, as well as small farm and feed stores across the U.S., for over five decades. The organization aims to reach $200M in sales under the leadership of this new VP.
When not traveling up to 35% for customer visits and trade shows, the VP must be based 5 days a week in our client’s Columbia, MD HQ.
Reporting to the CEO, the VP will be a key member of a 7-person executive team. The VP will strategically lead 20 sales, customer service, and marketing professionals nationally.
Requirements :
- 10 years of sales / sales leadership experience selling to or for CPG companies, hardware stores, or farm and feed stores.
- Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a large team of seasoned sales professionals, to include National Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers.
- Excellence in setting sales strategy with sound metrics.
- Ability to build brand awareness through the support of internal and outsourced marketing agency support.
- Ability to travel 35% and to be based in the Columbia, MD HQ 5 days a week.
