Position : RTE Supervisor
Shift : 2nd Shift - 2 : 30pm to 11 : 30pm (with mandatory OT as needed)
Role :
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production, operation, and safety process of the assigned lines that are located in the RTE department. Supervisors are expected to drive staff to meet production goals and safety goals. A supervisor is required to have good communication skills to address employee performance, attendance, and safety issues directly to management and HR.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Responsible for overviewing all operational & safety-related functions of company equipment & machinery such as the bagger, VC999, Shrink Tunnel, Peeler, Roll stock, Grasselli Slicers, Spiral Slicers, Band Saw, Cubing Machine, Box Tapers, Metal Detectors, Scales, Pallet Jacks, & other production-related machinery. Must be able to understand all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Must have the understanding to carry out instructions in one-to-one and groups.
- Must engage employees to keep work areas neat, clean, and hazard-free.
- M ust be consistent & reliable in attendance.
- Must be able to manage new hires' training in a fast-paced refrigerated environment.
- Must be able to manage and conduct training and cross-training within employees from the same department and other department.
- Must be able to operate machinery & plan staff scheduling / rotation / tasks.
- Must be able to report plant machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians and management.
- Must be able to report to management staff safety, quality, productivity, and attendance issues from employees.
- Must understand health, safety, and basic hygiene rules to ensure that employees comply.
- Will be responsible for ensuring that employees are wearing mandatory PPE when working in the production areas.
