**Assembly Process Engineer Role Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Process Engineer to assist in finalizing the strategy for each assembly step, while collaborating actively with system teams to find the optimal assembly steps, tools, methods, strategies, safety measures, specifications, and other details.
The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing assembly work instruction packets for all SPARC sub-assemblies, incorporating them into assembly work orders to create the optimal assembly and testing sequence.
This role involves providing assistance in developing and improving the work instruction packet and work order creation process to increase standardization, efficiency, safety, clarity, and overall good communication of instructions for the success of the assembly process.
You will participate in collaborative work with assembly engineers, tooling engineers, designers, coordinators, and direct personnel performing Tokamak Assembly during on-site work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finalize assembly step strategies in collaboration with system teams
- Construct and incorporate assembly work instruction packets into work orders
- Develop and improve work instruction packet and work order creation processes
- Collaborate with assembly engineers, tooling engineers, designers, coordinators, and direct personnel
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of technical experience in integrating complex mechanical structures (e.g. aerospace, chemical)
- Experience in creating work instruction packets
- Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field, metrology, high-vacuum projects and processes, manufacturing management software, NX, large components
- Aptitude to use data to drive decisions
