What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at John H Carter CO?
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily
Supervise accounts payable personnel.
Prepare summary of cash.
Assist controller with management of accounting staff and department
Monthly
Reconcile multiple bank accounts.
Prepare reconciliations on multiple general ledger accounts
Maintain prepaid accounts.
Assist with job costing.
Calculate and pay commissions.
Maintain fixed assets journal and review use tax.
Yearly / Occasionally
Manage accounting staff and department in the absence of the Controller.
Assist Controller with audits performed by our third party CPAs and other regulatory agencies, such as the Departments of Revenue and Labor.
Filing business occupation licenses forms as well as payment of invoices.
Filing business personal property tax returns as well as payment of invoices.

PC proficient; familiar with MS Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel
