Description
Essential Duties
- Performs on-site demand and contract field services to support the customers’ installed based for instrumentation, to include diagnostic, troubleshooting, calibration and start-up and commissioning services. Recommends approaches on repairs, replacements and upgrades.
- Provides informal and on-the-job customer training.
- Effectively communicates customer needs and opportunities to the organization; and utilizes technical skills and abilities to develop tactics and strategies to support those customer needs.
- Partners with the sales team to execute tactics and strategies to improve customer satisfaction and service growth through available service programs.
- Reports performance measures toward goals.
- Executes timely completion of all required reports, certificates and relevant documents.
- Adheres to all safety and quality rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
Education And/or Work Experience
- Associate’s degree and three (3) years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and five (5) years of relevant experience as an Instrument Technician or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, DCS and SCADA systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Working as self-directed field/shop environment worker.
- Experience with bending and running tubing is preferred.
- TWIC, OSHA Safety, Security Passport.
- Valid State issued driver’s license.
