Essential Duties

  • Performs on-site demand and contract field services to support the customers’ installed based for instrumentation, to include diagnostic, troubleshooting, calibration and start-up and commissioning services. Recommends approaches on repairs, replacements and upgrades.
  • Provides informal and on-the-job customer training.
  • Effectively communicates customer needs and opportunities to the organization; and utilizes technical skills and abilities to develop tactics and strategies to support those customer needs.
  • Partners with the sales team to execute tactics and strategies to improve customer satisfaction and service growth through available service programs.
  • Reports performance measures toward goals.
  • Executes timely completion of all required reports, certificates and relevant documents.
  • Adheres to all safety and quality rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Associate’s degree and three (3) years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and five (5) years of relevant experience as an Instrument Technician or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, DCS and SCADA systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Working as self-directed field/shop environment worker.
  • Experience with bending and running tubing is preferred.
  • TWIC, OSHA Safety, Security Passport.
  • Valid State issued driver’s license.
