Must-Have Skills : Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, Arterial Line Management, Central Lines, Continuous IV sedation, Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive Drips, BiPAP / CPAP, Ventilated Patients & Management, Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning, Isolation Precautions
Description :
Shift is 3x12s with every other weekend required.
36 guaranteed hours per week with no flexibility and no block scheduling.
Maximum of 5 days requested time off is allowed, but they cannot be consecutive.
No requested time off on holidays or the day before / after a holiday.
Floating is mandatory within various ICU units, which include Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU.
Patient ratios range from 1 : 2 to 1 : 5.
This facility requires the ability to float clinicians outside their home facility, potentially up to 50 miles away.
Notification to float to different units may be given 2 hours before a shift.
The facility uses a team-based model if floated outside of one's primary area of competency.
Orientation is 24 hours and is non-billable.
COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
Familiarity with Cerner is preferred.
First-time travelers are accepted.
