Description :
Shift consists of 3x12 hours with every other weekend required.
There is no flexibility in the schedule, and block scheduling is not permitted.
RTO is allowed up to 5 days maximum, with no more than 2 consecutive days.
RTO is not allowed on weekends or holidays.
No RTO is permitted the day before or after a holiday.
You will be part of a float pool that includes Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU.
Patient-to-nurse ratios vary from 1 : 2, 1 : 4, to 1 : 5.
The facility mandates floating and may float staff up to 50 miles outside their home unit or area of expertise.
Notification of floating may occur as late as 2 hours before a shift.
Refusal to float may result in the cancellation of the contract.
In cases of floating outside the primary competency, a team-based model will be used for support.
Orientation consists of 24 non-billable hours.
COVID-19 and flu vaccines are required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted only for the flu vaccine.
