This is a long-term, career-growth oriented position, and as such, the compensation package we’re offering is competitive: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on 2 – 3 years’ experience) to start and includes opportunities for you to quickly maximize your earning potential through training, experience, our ESOP, bonuses, and professional development programs.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Read and understand hydraulic schematics, general arrangement drawings, and 3D models for assembly of hydraulic power units, mechanical assemblies, and custom fabrication assemblies.
- Measure clearances, tolerances, and dimension of parts with calipers and tape measurers to ensure critical components are laid out and assembled to specifications.
- Use hand and power tools for reservoir layout and fabrication.
- Use band saw, welding equipment, and cutting torches to fabricate metal as needed.
- Assemble hydraulic components into power units based on current best practices and standards.
- Use pneumatic equipment to transfer pressurized gases from storage containers to hydraulic components.
- Fabricate/run hydraulic tube and hydraulic hose assemblies and take measurements to ensure that assemblies meet specifications.
- Wire electric motors to test hydraulic power units, utilize electrical test stands for specific applications, and measure amps utilizing a multi-meter.
- Set hydraulic pump compensator pressures, relief valve pressures, and test for leaks.
- Read and understand paint mix formulas to prime and paint power units and other fabrication/mechanical assemblies.
- Perform basic modifications of hydraulic pumps and valves.
- Test and troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical equipment using electrical multi-meters, gauges, hand and power tools to diagnose problems and determine corrective procedures.
- Control, handle, and dispose of hazardous waste such as solvents, oils, etc. in accordance with E.P.A guidelines.
- Instruct company personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce breakdowns.
- Perform building maintenance such as electrical wiring, piping, painting, lighting, etc. as required.
- Attend factory technical schools for certification purposes.
- If necessary, comply with all U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.
- Other ad hoc duties as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Relevant associate degree (or equivalent experience) from a college or technical school preferred.
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years of maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Ability to apply judgement and deal with problems involving standardized situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Ability to interpret instructions (written/verbal) and work orders, with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work while meeting productivity standards.
- Ability to build and maintain great working relationships with other team members.
- Must have and maintain a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record and be able to obtain forklift certification.
