As a hydraulic repair specialist your impact is twofold:
- For the customer, your goal is to build hydraulic power units on time and to our customer’s specifications.
- For the team, your goal is to maintain an organized, efficient, and quality centric work area. You’ll be responsible for documenting, communicating, and verifying needs and information; collaborating with other team members and departments; and coordinating activities to ensure an excellent customer experience.

This is a long-term, career-growth oriented position, and as such, the compensation package we’re offering is competitive: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on 2 – 5 years’ experience) to start and includes opportunities for you to quickly maximize your earning potential through training, experience, our ESOP, bonuses, and professional development programs.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Visit customer sites to gain repair business; make sure customer needs are met i.e. delivery time, pick up and drop of as needed.
- Prepare quotes, enter RGA’s and Sales Orders for repairs.
- Prioritize repairs to make sure the jobs are completed when needed.
- Disassemble and repair pumps, cylinders, and components by replacing damaged parts, and test run to ensure proper operation. (required to work in a shop with technician 1 day every other week)
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems to help customer diagnose problems.
- Read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Attend factory technical schools.
- Crossover competitors brand hydraulic equipment to JHF line components when possible.
- Research off-brand equipment brought in for repair by providing technical breakdowns to repair technicians and availability of replacement parts.
- Use welding equipment and cutting torches to fabricate metal as needed.
- If necessary, comply with all U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.
- Other ad-hoc duties as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Relevant associate degree (or equivalent experience) from a college or technical school preferred.
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Ability to apply judgement and deal with problems involving standardized situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Ability to interpret instructions (written/verbal) and work orders, with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work while meeting productivity standards.
- The ability to build and maintain great working relationships with other team members.
- Must have and maintain a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record and be able to obtain forklift certification.
