- Must have knowledge of chemicals to use for machine
- Painting
- Surface preparation techniques like scraping, sanding,and priming
- Applying paint evenly and consistently with different methods (roller, brush, sprayer)
- Color matching and color theory basics
- Identifying and addressing paint defects
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Assists other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
- Performs preventative maintenance on systems and equipment as required.
- Performs preventative maintenance duties to all physical structures and complies with all building & OSHA safety codes and regulations. This is to include facility equipment and associated controls.
- Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
- Works days, evenings or nights as required performing required duties. Participates in the departments on call schedule.
- Performs manual duties as requested (i.e. moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash scrap material).
- Prepares and smoothes surfaces; removes old paint; matches paint and paint surfaces in a timely manner.
- Pressure washes surfaces without damaging; uses appropriate mixture of cleaning solutions and maintain pressure washing equipment in good working condition.
- Uses and maintains basic tools required to perform duties.
- Responsible for the proper and safe storage of open paint containers and other regulated materials.
- Attends in-service meetings, daily meetings & filling out work order forms.
- Responds to code red alerts.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent,
- Valid Florida drivers license in good standing.
- Experience in building/facility maintenance, painting and some Vo-tech experience would be beneficial

- Must supply own small power tool, hand tools, and specialty tools necessary for this position.
