What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic I position at John Knox Village of Florida?
Mechanic
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic who has previously worked in a setting to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our Elders at John Knox Village. This is a Full-Time position, Monday-Friday. This is an exciting and dynamic position for a self-motivated individual to work on many different projects and assignments around the campus.
Being a Mechanic at John Knox Village is a rewarding and professional career. A typical day working at John Knox Village includes performing preventive, corrective and scheduled maintenance on all facility systems and equipment as well as initiating repairs as needed. This individual will cover grounds maintenance for curb appeal, painting, pressure cleaning, minor electrical repairs, parking deck cleanup, pedestrian paint, and minor repairs. Assist painters and mechanics on minor projects related to maintenance. i.e., cleaning mechanical rooms and equipment rooms. Assist with monitoring equipment conditions by inspecting those areas periodically. Roof inspections for preventive maintenance and assist with special projects for maintenance and operations.
We would like to speak to someone who has 2-4 years of maintenance and operations experience. Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pressure cleaning, paint and basic inspections.
