The John Michael Kohler Arts Center (Sheboygan, WI) is currently seeking individuals who are interested in learning more about the technical production by becoming part of the “Stage Crew” for the Levitt AMP concert series from June 20th until August 15th, 2024. Wednesday, July 3rd is in lieu of Thursday, July 4th.
The Stage Crew will help set up the trussing, lighting, and audio components for the summer music series at City Green (located steps away from the Arts Center in downtown Sheboygan) and on August 15th at the Arts Center Art Preserve (3 miles west of our Arts Center in downtown Sheboygan).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
Thursdays, all day from June 20th – August 15th. Wednesday, July 3rd is in lieu of Thursday, July 4th.
The position hours are for set for all day. We are looking for people to work the following schedule:
8:00AM- 5:00PM for set up, band set up and sound check. With a half hour lunch around noon.
5:30PM – 8:30PM is the concert.
8:30PM- 11:30PM for tear down and clean up.

- Report any questions to on-site supervisor
- Assist with band changeover during the break
- Break down equipment and clean up at the end of each concert
- Work collaboratively with team members through effective communication
- Help ensure a safe environment for employees, patrons, food vendors, and bands

- Having prior experience with lighting and audio for theatre performances and/or concert events is a plus
- Must be able to safely lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
- Strong interest in technical theatre (i.e.: stage lighting and audio) is a plus.
