We’re looking for a full time Production Drafter to join our team.
Generate Construction Drawings:
- Create accurate and detailed construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, based on architectural designs and specifications.
- Develop and maintain standard detail libraries.
- Produce permit sets and construction sets for various home models.
Drawing Revisions and Updates:
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, project managers, and field personnel.
- Implement and track change orders through drawing revisions.
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve design and construction issues.
Building Codes and Standards:
- Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to building codes and regulations.
Renderings:
- Produce 2D or 3D renderings.
- Knowledge and experience with Lumion software.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting, architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential construction drafting, preferably with a new home builder.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Architecture
- Strong understanding of residential construction practices, building codes, and regulations.
- Ability to work harmoniously as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
