Duties
As a Catering and Banquet Chef, you will play a crucial role in preparing and executing a diverse range of dishes for various events. Your primary responsibilities will include creating high-quality meals, managing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring that all dishes meet our standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will be someone who anticipates needs, stays ahead of the curve, and contributes to a collaborative and energetic kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for catering events and banquets, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and execute menus based on event specifications.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety throughout the preparation and cooking process.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adapt quickly to changes in event schedules and menu requirements.
- Take initiative to solve problems, anticipate needs, and streamline kitchen operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a culinary environment preferred. On-the-job training will be provided for less experienced candidates.
- Have knife skills for food preparation
- Strong passion for cooking and commitment to delivering exceptional food.
- Ability to think ahead, manage multiple tasks, and anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work varying hours based on event bookings.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new techniques and recipes.
- Valid Drivers License

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
