Requirements for Director of Nursing Services :
Must possess valid unencumbered RN State License and current CPR certification
Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related clinical setting.
Must have minimum of two years experience in long term care / skilled nursing facilities
Prior experience as a Director of Nursing and / or Assistant Director of Nursing, strongly preferred
Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills
Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
Job Duties for Director of Nursing Services :
Assure appropriate utilization of resources necessary for the delivery of quality patient care
Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach
Oversee staff and assist when needed
