Position Overview:
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our expanding team. This role is responsible for payroll processing and providing key support to the HR Manager across various HR functions, including onboarding, employee benefits, record-keeping, and compliance with federal and state reporting requirements. The HR Generalist will report to the HR Manager and will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth HR operations and ensuring a positive experience for all employees.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Manage the bi-weekly multi-state payroll cycle, including personnel transactions such as pay adjustments and terminations. Review employee profile changes and update accounting software accordingly.
- Verify employee timekeeping records for accurate payroll processing.
- Ensure strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and tasks effectively.
- Assist with employee onboarding procedures, helping to create a seamless and welcoming experience for new hires.
- Support the HR Manager with annual benefits renewals, including health and ancillary coverages, as well as workers’ compensation coverage and claims.
- Assist with year-end documentation and reporting.
- Respond to state employment and unemployment-related requests in a timely manner.
- Assist with compliance filings, including ACA reviews, EEOC reporting (Federal and State), and other required government reports.

Education, Experience & Abilities: (including but not limited to)
- 7-10 years of Human Resource & Payroll experience required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with the ADP Workforce Now is desirable.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Highly flexible and motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
