The Role
Wood is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Controls Manager to join our dynamic team based at Wood's Fort Myers office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cost and planning functions to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role bridges Project Controls with Project Management, ensuring accurate use of project metrics and standardized processes, while serving as the primary contact for project cost, schedule, and change management.

Typical responsibilities
- Act as the focal point with the client and any contractor Project Controllers as appropriate to ensure costs and progress are reported accurately and are aligned with project reporting requirements
- Identifies and establishes the communications interfaces essential for the delivery of cost and planning services
- Manage the implementation of the cost and planning control structures in alignment with the project Work Breakdown Structure
- Manage and oversee the project work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget set-up and approvals
- Ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and included in the cost and schedule baselines if applicable
- Accountable for providing analysis of current and future resource needs at a project and contract level to the management team
- Manages and oversees the recovery process following identified slippages or significant float erosion
- Serve as Chair for ongoing internal team and client team Project Controls meetings (Cost, Schedule and Progress)
- Oversee the preparation of proposal schedules
- Participate in cost and schedule risk analysis workshops / sessions both internally and with Client
- Ensure risk is managed and monitored at project level in line with local standards and processes
- Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all cost, planning and risk deliverables prior to issue to internal or external customer
- Responsible for ensuring all Project Controls tools and systems are set up and functioning adequately
- Reviews contractual obligations and ensures that Project Controls activities are performed in accordance with the contractual agreements and the client’s requirements
- Ensuring that lessons learned are captured and implemented in support of continuous improvement

Expected:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in project management or project control positions
- Training and/or experience in Primavera P6
- Experience in cost control, scheduling, and management of change
- Knowledgeable across procurement and construction execution
- Current authorization to lawfully work in the United States without sponsorship from Wood
Desirable:
- Experience in Oracle ERP software
