What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records Clerk position at John Wood Group?
- Sorts, classifies, and codes material for filing.
- Prepares new files within the file classification plan.
- Accesses, compiles, gathers, and delivers requested information assets.
- Maintains an accurate charge-out system.
- Maintains accurate circulation information.
- Receives and processes information transferred to inactive storage in accordance with established schedules.
- Processes obsolete information for destruction, in accordance with the retention policy and established procedures.
- Interfaces with supervisors, co-workers, and other staff members to exchange information. All contact is internal to the organization.
- Identify, compile, sort, organize, and manage appropriate data.
- Communicate results and findings effectively, using established formats and reporting tools (MS Excel required)
- A minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
- Candidates with experience in an active information environment and one or more years of college with specialized course work in administrative management and IT are preferred.
- Experience in operating office equipment, such as reprographics equipment, calculators, and reader/printers, and the ability to lift standard information storage boxes,. Typically, the requirement is the ability to lift 35 to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail is key.
