Summary
Provides Psychiatric evaluations to clients seen in the Bayview Emergency Department. Is skilled in psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis of psychiatric disorders. Is also skilled in Substance Abuse Evaluations. Works with multi disciplinary team in the Emergency Department to provide quality psychiatric service. Obtains all insurance authorizations necessary to treat patients. Is knowledge of Mental Health Resources in Maryland and proficient in formulating and implementing treatment and disposition Plans Documents all clinical activity in accordance with Johns Hopkins Bayview, and State of Maryland regulations.
Job Requirements
- Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Masters degree in Social Work or related field.
- Licensure as an LCSW-C or LCPC required.
- Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
- Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
