Who you are:
As a Customer Service Representative for Johns Hopkins Health Plans, you are the go-to for customer inquiries from Johns Hopkins Healthcare members, providers and internal stakeholders. You are passionate about providing excellent customer service. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and you have great attention to detail; you take pride in the integrity of your work. You are a problem solver and an empathetic listener who truly enjoys creating an excellent member experience.
As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll:
- Answer incoming phone calls from members and providers in a call center environment.
- Work with call center management, Quality Assurance and dedicated training team(s), to stay updated on product, compliance and service offerings.
- Provide feedback on the efficiency and opportunities regarding the customer service processes.
- Maintain case work consistently and within appropriate timeframes.
- Upon completion of training, you will demonstrate competency and mastery of the various JHHC Healthcare databases and tools required.
What you’ll bring:
- 1 years current experience in a customer service-related role
- Call center experience highly preferred.
- Basic Knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Ability to work efficiently within multiple databases.
- Ability to learn medical terminology and work with highly confidential information.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to foster and maintain professional relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Willingness to collaborate and help other team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college is helpful.
