Position Summary
The Vice President of Facilities Management oversees facilities management operations, clinical engineering, energy services, and engineering and commissioning, across the health system and the School of Medicine, including approximately 1100 represented personnel within the organization with three unions represented. The Vice President will inherit a strong team with deep institutional knowledge and a commitment to supporting the mission of JHHS.
Reporting Relationships
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Facilities, the Vice President of Facilities plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of JHHS' infrastructure and operations.
Responsibilities
All the critical responsibilities outlined below are expected to be carried out in a manner that reflects the mission, vision, and values of the Johns Hopkins Health System. The Vice President of Facilities works in concert with the executive leadership team of the organization to :
Strategic Planning and Alignment
- Respond to strategic demands, initiate consultative services, and act as the focal point for Facilities departmental objectives.
- Distill and demonstrate how the clinical, educational, and research goals can be incorporated into project plans and programs.
- Develop and evaluate multiple strategies, considering future strategic objectives, institutional needs, real estate opportunities, and community development initiatives. Oversee the programming, design, and implementation of space planning and construction for the health system.

Budget and Resource Management
Presentation and Communication
Risk Management and Innovation

Salary Range : Minimum $345,000 - Maximum $430,000. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
