What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gift Shop Retail Associate position at Johns Hopkins Medicine?
The serenity gift shop retail associate is responsible for assisting customers with the purchasing of items within the Sibley Serenity Gift Shop. Duties include maintaining customer satisfaction and positive relations with fellow employees, volunteers, physicians, visitor and supplies; providing sales assistance to customers; and ensuring the shop shelves are stocked with appropriate goods. Must be able to describe and assist patients in selecting skincare, post-surgical garments, and headwear appropriate for their specific surgery or treatment.
Work location: Washington DC at Sibley Memorial Hospital
PRN days (as needed), Must be able to work 9am-5pm during weekdays and 9:45am-1:4pm during the weekend.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education and Experience:
1. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, customer service oriented.
2. High school graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Please note position will require - Cash register operation, cash counting skills, prolonged standing, box lifting. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Salary Range: Minimum 20.00 per hour - Maximum 20.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
