The Pharmacy Documentation Specialist – Medicare Focus plays a key role in ensuring accurate and complete documentation for Medicare billing. As the quality assurance and clinical qualification expert, this position is essential in maintaining compliance with Medicare regulations and supporting seamless billing processes. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations, the specialist collaborates closely with clinical and administrative teams to uphold documentation standards and optimize workflows.
This role leverages strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills to ensure claims are submitted correctly with the appropriate documentation. Additionally, the Pharmacy Documentation Specialist is responsible for influencing the broader department by educating and reinforcing Medicare requirements, helping to ensure overall compliance with regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is required upon hire
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certified
- Two (2) years pharmacy technician experience
Salary Range: Minimum 20.23 per hour - Maximum 33.40 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
