- Set up and operation of diverse types of equipment used to manufacture various types of medical instruments within established manufacturing processes, Train Technicians on new releases, GMP's, and quality requirements. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws / regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position :
- Develop, verify, and maintain equipment programs, support testing and tool acquisition to efficiently produce components of moderate to high complexity meeting manufacturing specifications.
- Write and / or edit basic programming functions.
- Train lower-level assembly personnel.
- Assist lower-level assembly personnel in diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
- Assemble and diagnose first time builds and design units with manufacturing engineering guidance as being the primary contact for the area.
- Strong Computer Literacy
- Ability to run and understand the Velys System and any new product launches
- Ability to write and update procedures as needed for changes to production or processes
- Ability to understand what test systems are doing and why (technical aptitude)
- Follow written instructions
- Comfort understanding complex electro-mechanical systems
- Capability to learn custom software applications
- Make recommendations for manufacturability.
- Perform time studies, procedure and fixture development.
- Support the creation of setup times and cycle times to reduce costs, document robust setups for the existing production process with manufacturing engineering guidance.
- Establish Standard Tool Library and request specialty tooling, as job requires.
