Mountain State Beverage is proud to supply all 55 counties in West Virginia with over 2,000 different varieties of Wine, Spirits, and Craft Beer.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping all areas of the grounds and buildings clean, safe and presentable.
Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on all grounds, buildings and equipment.
- Plan, prioritize, and perform daily grounds operations, tasks, and duties.
- Provide full upkeep of lawns, trees, shrubs, flag poles, fences, light poles, litter pickup, graffiti removal, and storm damage repair.
- Provide maintenance and upkeep of all equipment.
- Operate a variety of machines and equipment used for maintenance.
- Provide snow and ice removal during winter season.
- Apply salt and chemicals, shovels sidewalks and walkways.
- Perform oil, fluid, and tire checks; cleaning, washing and vacuuming; replacing blades and sharpening blades; assists in maintaining grounds equipment, tools and vehicles.
- As an active member of the overall maintenance dept. you may be called upon to perform a multitude of tasks outside of the normal responsibilities.
- Ensure storm drains are kept clean and remove debris build up.
- Replace HVAC unit air filters as required.
- Drain air compressor weekly.
- Trouble shoot as needed electrical or garage heater issues.
- Responsible for maintenance, repair and monitoring of building heating and cooling system.
- Maintain and coordinate repair of pumps and water circulation systems.
- Develop, implement and manage preventive, corrective and operational maintenance procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations, inclement weather, after hour services (24/7).
- Ordering of equipment and materials as needed.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections and maintain required maintenance logs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, machines, and materials used in maintaining grounds, buildings and equipment.
- EPA knowledge of lawn chemicals and salt treatment.
- Preventive maintenance practices and procedures for tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and requirements in the operation of large machinery, powered equipment, mowers, chemicals, etc.
- Reading and understanding documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Applying basic mathematics in determining areas, quantities, adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying units of measure.
- Communicating and cooperating with Johnson Brothers Leadership.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Must have and maintain a driver’s license.
