Controller

A consortium of three related companies - Johnson Concrete Products, Stalite, and Staclean - has an immediate opening for a full-time Controller. Family owned and operated for four generations, we manufacture concrete products, specialty aggregates, and air pollution control equipment for the construction industry across seven North Carolina production facilities. Payroll through ADP is supported by others in the office. The Controller reports to the General Manager and the position has become available due to a retirement. Job Description:

- Work with staff to ensure data is collected

- Manage accounts receivable and payable

- Maintain general ledger

- Complete monthly and yearly financial and managerial reports in a timely and accurate manner according to GAAP

- File reports, e.g. sales tax returns, and others

- Provide year-end data to an outside CPA for filing income tax returns

- Generate reports and analyses as needed to assist managers in evaluating metrics, costs, and variances

Requirements:

- ​Certified Public Accountant

- ​Bachelor's degree in Accounting

- ​Minimum three to five years' experience in accounting

- Manufacturing experience is preferred

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel

- Must be able to work well with others and independently

- Must be self-motivated

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
