Construction Program Manager (K-12 Program Management)
Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Program Manager specializing in K-12 program management. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage multiple construction projects within the K-12 education sector, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with school districts, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of K-12 construction projects, from inception to completion.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Collaborate with school district representatives to define project requirements, goals, and success criteria.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address challenges, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Prepare and present progress reports, including status updates, budget performance, and risk assessments, to stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts, change orders, and other agreements with vendors and service providers.
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project delivery.
Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, including school boards, community members, and regulatory agencies.
Stay current on trends, regulations, and best practices in K-12 construction and program management.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of [insert years, e.g., 8-10] years of experience in construction program management, with a focus on K-12 education projects.
Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety standards.
Proficiency in project management software such as Kahua Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar tools).
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or equivalent are highly desirable.
Working Conditions :
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
