What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager / Inventory Control (Job number: 1225) position at Johnson Controls Federal Systems?
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our federal team based in Huntsville, AL. This role will support our Project Managers, Operations Teams, Engineers, and field based teams to ensure consistent delivery of project materials and equipment . This role will primarily support our Electronic Security team providing maintenance and service to Air Force bases and other federal government facilities around the United States.

Shift: Monday-Friday, day shift hours
Pay range: $60,000 - $100,000. Negotiable based on experience.
Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment
Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total)
As a Warehouse Manager, you will:
- Implement and build out the warehouse management and inventory management systems and processes
- Manage warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and control of all assets
- Develop and implement procedures for management of physical inventory.
- Checks in all deliveries and processes paperwork
- Establish and implement procedures for the efficient management of physical inventory
- Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Manage and audit multiple inventories held at various US Air Force locations
- Coordinate the shipment of parts and equipment between different locations, ensuring timely and secure delivery
- Manage logistics data within government databases
- Build out and register Unique Item Identifiers in accordance with government requirements for parts and equipment
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of equipment in accordance with contract requirements
- Test networking and Electronic Security System parts and components to verify operational status and ensure they are functioning properly before shipment.
- Label and package equipment to IAW contract requirements
- Process the disposal of government property in accordance with contract requirements and applicable regulations
- Ensure compliance with all government property management procedures
- Manage asset-related data within government databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Performs other duties as required to support the project teams
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in asset management, inventory control, and inventory document tracking
- Proven experience with logistics management and scheduling
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and databases. Prior experience implementing and building out a system preferred.
- Experience with inventory auditing
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial Electronic Security Systems or networking equipment (access controls, intrusion detection, CCTV cameras, etc)
- Experience supporting project related teams in the construction or building maintenance industry,
- Experience with supply chain, purchasing and tracking of materials
- Proficient computer skills with general Windows environment, Microsoft Office software, and email
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of federal government property management regulations and procedures.
- Experience working with the US Air Force or other federal government agencies
- Experience with Unique Item Identifiers (UII) registration and management.
- Experience with work order management systems.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
