GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs a variety of general duties such as maintain the voter registration rolls, prepare for elections and assist the public with general voter registration/election information.

- Maintaining Voter Registration Rolls
- Ability to help prepare and distribute election equipment and supplies
- Scanning and Uploading Documents
- Ability to answer and distribute calls
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Data entry and secretarial skills
- Working independently
- Processing updates from the Secretary of State
- Maintain voting history
- Jury Status Updates as received from the District Clerk’s office
- Handle common inquires and complaints
- Exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job
- Follow oral and written instructions and procedures
- Establish and maintain constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with staff, peers, supervisors, or managers in the work unit and other departments, as well as with staff of outside entities and other individuals, as applicable to the essential duties and responsibilities
- Ability to learn and follow the Texas Election Code
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be a qualified voter of the state
- Regular attendance is essential
- Must be able to perform duties in a non-partisan manner
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential records
- Must be able to exercise tact and courtesy in frequent contact with various county personnel, public officials, and the general public
- Requires ability to operate office machines such as telephone, computers, copiers, and scanner
- Occasional travel required
- Ability to work during the election cycle, extended, irregular and weekend hours for voting
- Speaking engagements and deputizing deputy voter registrars

Medium Work: Performing the essential functions typically requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly.
