Under general supervision, perform clerical and technical duties involving a variety of functions requiring considerable judgment. Process accounting maintain accurate financial and other records. Perform routine reconciliation operations which involve a variety of documents that may require cross-referencing to identify causes of disagreement. Check to verify appropriateness of entries; perform several types of computation including complicated calculations that involve formulae or a specific sequence of actions.

Other duties may be required and assigned.Inspect vouchers and supporting documentation submitted by County departments, verify accuracy and compliance with County policies, and contact departments to resolve issues and verify questionable information.Use financial software to maintain vendor records, enter and process claims, and produce accounts payable checks and reports according to established weekly deadlines.Respond to inquiries about vendor payments and other accounts payable issues.File vouchers and other documents in electronic and paper form.Prepare annual 1099 forms in accordance with federal requirements.Prepare and process County block grant payments.Reconcile office cash box and prepare daily deposit of receipts for the Treasurer's Office.Process and distribute incoming office mail; maintain and reconcile a ledger of cash and checks received by mail.Use financial software to maintain general ledger chart of accounts, post journal entries, and generate general ledger and budget reports.Proof payroll timesheet entry and prepare payroll checks for departmental pickup.Inventory, reorder, and stock office supplies for the office.Produce and edit documents including but not limited to e-mails, memos, letters, reports, forms, and labels.Assist members of the public at the counter, including those who wish to register to vote or vote early.
