What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Financial Officer position at Johnson Health?
The Chief Financial Officer's role is to oversee and drive strategy for all financial and administrative functions within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Developing and implementing financial and administrative strategies to ensure the long-term financial health and overall growth of the organization.
2. Serves as an executive point of contact for Johnson Health Center (JHC) as designated by the President/Chief Executive Officer (P/CEO) when required.
3. Responsible for all financial accounting and internal controls of the organization.
4. Overall supervision of Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), Revenue Cycle, Payroll, Development, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Accounting activities.
5. Responsible for the recruitment and evaluation of HR, IT, Finance, and Business Intelligence departments.
6. Responsible for responding to federal and state authorities and government regulators regarding financial matters.
7. Overarching responsibilities to provide business intelligence and analysis to support decision making at the strategic level.
8. Ensure all insurance coverages, including directors and officers, general property, etc. are active and appropriate annually. Responsible for maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
9. Facilitates annual audit with external firm.
10. Fiscal management of all local, state, and federal grants.
11. Overseeing all organizational reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
12. Develop, supervise, and coordinate all efforts to attain maximum third-party reimbursement, including value-based care contracts, as appropriate.
13. Preparation of the annual organization budget and individual grant budgets; work with department heads as necessary throughout the year to ensure that expenditures adhere to legal and budgetary requirements.
14. Provide proactive, sound guidance regarding the management of assets and investments and financial trends within the organization.
15. Supervise the preparation of all regulatory reports (i.e. UDS, Medicare Cost Report, Medicaid Cost Report, FFR, IRS Form 990, etc.).
16. Works as a member of the executive team and leadership team.
17. A liaison to the Finance Committee of the organization's Board of Directors and presents financials, budgets, and other activities with financial implications. Also attends the meetings of the Board of Directors and reports to the Board of Directors at the request of the P/CEO.
18. All other duties as assigned by the P/CEO.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with master's degree or CPA a plus.
2. 7 to 10 years of progressive financial management, with 2 to 3 years of healthcare experience, preferably with a FQHC.
3. Knowledge of healthcare accounting, finance, and reimbursement principles such as GAAP, Medicaid, and Medicare.
4. Experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proven financial analysis.
6. In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations relating to finance/accounting.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate.
Physical Demand and Working Environment:
Fast paced office setting with travel to other offices often. Lifting and/or exerting force up to 15 pounds occasionally, with frequently moving of objects. Work requires speaking, sitting, bending, walking, standing, hearing, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive motion with certain activities. Eight (8) hours of constant computer usage. OSHA low risk position.
