The Government Pricing Analytics (GPA) team is responsible for the management oversight of the CORE Government Pricing (GP) System and government price reporting processes, including maintenance of processes, policies and systems to ensure accurate and compliant government price calculations and reporting. The team is also responsible for performing government price calculations for Medical Device Operating Companies, providing Subject Matter Experts (SME) and analytical support to Johnson & Johnson (J&J) companies regarding government pricing, maintaining government product master to support compliance with government programs, reporting product and pricing to Government Agencies (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Veteran’s Administration (VA), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and State agencies) for all J&J Operating Companies (OpCos) and ensuring pricing and calculations are maintained in the CORE Medicaid system.
The Pricing Analytics Director, Government Pricing Analytics, is responsible for all aspects of government pricing to support compliant and effective government contracting, including government pricing calculations, submissions and analysis, CORE Government Pricing (GP) System hosting and maintenance, government pricing policies, pricing subject matter expertise and government policy and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) coordination. The Pricing Analytics Director will oversee and ensure resolution of all government pricing inquiries from various Johnson & Johnson (J&J) constituents, including: Operating Companies (OpCos), US Commercial Programs Legal Group, and J&J Office of Compliance. The Pricing Analytics Director also assumes management and coaching of the Government Pricing Analytics team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champions and drives the overall effectiveness of Government Pricing Analytics to serve J&J needs, particularly as a subject matter expert on government pricing and policies. This includes:
- Data Integrity and Coordination: Ensures government policies, including government pricing policies, are maintained, market-aligned, compliant and communicated. This includes ownership and maintenance of government pricing policies and SOPs, and general coordination and oversight of government policy and SOP updates and communication.
- Compliance/Issue Resolution: Ensures business and governance issues related to government pricing (e.g., audits) are addressed and resolved effectively on behalf of J&J, Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. (JJHCS) and/or OpCo's.
- Business Solutions SME: Provides guidance to and alignment with various J&J constituents (OpCo's, Corporate Regulatory Law, etc.) on government policies, provide pricing and contracting recommendations with advanced analytics.
- Process Improvement: Monitors and reports on efficiency of team, and works with Government Center of Excellence (COE) leadership team to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manages the Government Pricing Analytics team, and ensures maximum productivity and employee engagement. This includes:
- General operational responsibilities for Government Pricing (i.e., budget, performance metrics, process improvements, etc.).
- People management (i.e., participation in regular performance management and career coaching sessions).
- Identification of ongoing development and training needs.
- Ensures CORE Government Pricing (GP) System functionality is meeting the needs of the businesses, in terms of quality, timing, etc.
- Participates in long-term strategy of system usage and functionality and partners with IT to oversee periodic updates to the system to account for legal and business driven changes.
- Serves as one of the Director or above level JJHCS members of the OpCo Contract Pricing Committees (CPC).
- Key connection between JJHCS and an OpCo CPC and act as a facilitator to the strategy development and exception process to ensure that decisions are made consistent with JJHCS's capabilities.
- Advises on government pricing research and analysis to special projects as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum BS, BA or BBA Degree required, preferably in business management areas (e.g., finance, accounting, operations, etc.). Advanced degree preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years industry experience required in health care/pharmaceutical area, or equivalent
- Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational capabilities required.
- Strong experience with government systems solutions (GPS or CARS Medicaid) required.
- Ability to network and build relationships to provide innovative solutions and address urgent business matters.
Preferred:
- At least Five to eight years specialized knowledge of government and commercial contracting preferred, especially with regard to government pricing and managed care industry with knowledge and relevant government programs (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, VA).
- At least two to three years people management experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel) preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$146,000-$251,850Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
