We are searching for the best talent for Quality Training Manager to be in Grecia, Costa Rica.
Purpose:
The Training Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a Training Program to ensure compliance with local, national and international regulations and standards applicable to Medical Device Manufacturing as well as with the processes and policies of the business units and the requirements of J&J MedTech; defines and manages projects, assigns personnel, supervises their work activities, evaluates and communicates the results.
You will be responsible for:
Manages a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Directs operations to implement the Quality Training strategy to support continuous improvement of skills, capabilities, and competence of employees in line with regulatory requirements. Develops tactical and operational plans and specific programs for internal employees and external suppliers through training programs and systems to ensure continuous improvement. Assists with the development of quality-related training objectives for both broad organizational programs, such as applied learning, and more specific, such as error reduction and investigation skills. Contributes to research regarding continuing education methods to keep in line with external changes and regulatory compliance changes. Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring the achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets. Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision-making.
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Johnson & Johnson MedTech, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Establishes and maintains a solid Training Program to ensure the compliance with all the local, national and international regulatory standards, as well as with the processes and policies of the company and the requirements of the J&J corporation.
- Integrates the Training teams of the Johnson and Johnson MedTech Costa Rica Campus and J&J Business units to coordinate the implementation of Training plans.
- Establishes the task-based and job-based curriculums structure & content, training plans definitions per department and employee, supports the development and deployment of regulatory related training, training curricula and periodic reviews
- Facilitates Job Descriptions management in the learning management system
- Ensures that the personnel that act as trainers are qualified, including knowledge, experience and self-sufficiency.
- Ensures that the results and monitoring of the training process are communicated routinely to the management through the site performance management process.
- Acts as an expert in the matter, providing support to proactive or reactive answers to problems as well as with the support of internal and external audits
- Is responsible for ensuring that his/her subordinates comply with the health, safety and environmental practices guidelines and that all the necessary resources are available and in good condition.
- Ensures the strategic and operational aligning in the use of the learning management system to maximize productivity.
- Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training new employees; planning, assigning and direction of their work; performance measurement; rewarding and discipline of employees, complaint evaluation and problem resolution.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Completion of a professional degree is required. At least bachelor’s degree.
- Certification from an accredited organization is advantageous.
- A master or higher degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- At least 6-8 years of related experience in the Medical Device Industry and personnel management is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific studies, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Proficient in addressing inquiries and complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, and business members.
- Capacity to present information effectively to upper management, public groups, and the Board of Directors.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in problem-solving, data collection, and fact establishment to reach valid conclusions.
- Competence in using computers and associated software programs.
- Strong negotiation skills with representatives of governmental agencies and auditors.
- Ability to collaborate with employees at all organizational levels and external suppliers.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Audit Systems and their relationship with FDA, QSR, and ISO standards.
- Knowledge or certification in TWI Methodology (Training Within Industry) is preferred.
