Job Description

Johnson and Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Director, Global Strategy and Market Insights & Analytics within the Johnson & Johnson MedTech organization.

This is a hybrid role available in multiple cities within our MedTech office locations. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a cohesive Orthopedics business unit strategy, unlocking and enabling a culture of analytical thinking and a data-first decision making across the organization and acts as the engine to transform our analytics and Data Science capabilities to drive above market growth and benchmark profitability.

Responsibilities

The position has a high degree of responsibility for collaborating across our regions, functions and broader J&J business partners while demonstrating and maintaining role clarity across. This position will report directly to the Company Group Chair, Orthopedics. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the next step in our Analytics modernization journey with a focus on delivering tools, technologies and processes that drive growth and profitability.
  • Orchestrate a global business performance process across key business partners (Regions and Business Unit) with sole source of truth around data strategy, metrics and measurement of outcomes.
  • Understand larger macroeconomic trends in key markets within the orthopedics space and how they impact the organization and collaborate with market insights to incorporate those into our plans and scorecards.
  • Provide periodic updates on company performance vis-à-vis competition – value and volume share, market and platform performance, areas of opportunity, macro trends etc. Provide a strategic view of competitors finding opportunities and preempting potential future risks.
  • Develop Orthopedic Strategic plan in concert with platform presidents and in alignment with Innovation and Pipeline plan.
  • Support Global Orthopedics Planning Process & long-range forecasting process and financial modeling for inputs into the Strategic Plan.
  • Ownership of overall Portfolio Lifecycle end-of-life planning and execution for Orthopedic brand families.
  • Work with key cross-functional business partners globally to implement end-to-end measurement, attribution, and optimization capabilities from Strategic Plan objectives to commercial execution.
  • Co-develops business unit business development (BD) strategy from a commercial perspective and aligns with BD on key targets.
  • Provides a strategic view of competitors and broader market landscape finding opportunities for Orthopedics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, finance, and/or data science; or other related subject areas is required. Master’s level degree is preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in: Finance, Analytics, Strategy Planning, Data Science or Marketing.
  • 8 years of strong leadership & direct people management experience.
  • Global business collaboration expertise.
  • Experience synthesizing data, interpreting data, and processing observations into actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge and experience with the latest analytical models and tools
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to reconcile external and internal data sources.
  • Experience working in a large, complex environment where a high degree of partner collaboration is required to deliver business results.
  • Ability to build trust and influence senior leaders.
  • Expertise in sophisticated data systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies is preferred.
  • Up to 25% domestic and international (weekends when required).

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

173,000 - 299,00

Additional Description For Pay Transparency

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
