Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, responsible, and efficient Immigration Law Clerk to join our team at Johnson & Masumi. The ideal candidate will assist in various legal tasks and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced legal environment. This position could lead to an associate attorney position for the right candidate.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research
- Assist in drafting legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and motions that go before the Immigration Courts and Board of Immigration Appeals, as well as USCIS
- Gather, review and analyze documents from clients
- Support attorneys in preparing for hearings before the Immigration Courts and for interviews before the USCIS
- Write reports, memos, and correspondence as needed
Experience:
- Law school graduate preferred, but will consider 3L students who will be graduating this spring
- Immigration law experience/coursework is required
- Knowledge of legal research, legal drafting and writing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
