Description
- Coordinates new employment recruitment and onboarding. Posts job advertisements, reviews and screens applicants, partners with management and appropriate human resources team members to determine compensation and conducts new hire orientations.
- Ensures all human resources documents, files and records are up-to-date and maintained according to company policy and relevant regulations.
- Administers employee benefits, including answering employee benefits questions and working with local benefits providers as needed. Partners with appropriate human resources team members to recommend and implement benefits changes.
- Ensures compliance with local laws. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of local employment laws and advises management on how laws may affect employee actions and policies. Advises management on how legislative changes will affect existing policies and procedures and work with management to make necessary changes.
- Partners with management to develop, implement and communicate various human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
- Provide input into company-wide initiatives, taking the local impact of such initiatives into account. Implement company-wide human resources programs locally.
- Works with employees to resolve routine employee relations, organizational and administrative issues. Escalates non-routine problems to management.
- Partners with management to ensure a safe and healthy work environment as well as compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
- Partners with local management to implement employee-training programs.
- Supports the performance management process, which includes resolving technical problems and communicating / coordinating timelines. Advises / trains employees and management on the completion of self-appraisals, goals and appraisals.
- Coordinates the site's safety and health requirements in personnel matters in consultation with the safety officer and company medical officer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
