What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head JV Dance Coach position at Johnston Community School District?
JOB SUMMARY: Promotes a fundamentally sound athletic program with emphasis on physical and skill development of the individual and to encourage a positive attitude toward fair play and sportsmanship. Advises and leads the Dance Team so they function as effectively as possible to instil school spirit at athletic events.

Professional Performance Criteria
- Responsible for the directing, supervising, and training of the team.
- Responsible for the conduct of the team at practice sessions and at all contests.
- Leads and directs the team in such a way as to encourage good sportsmanship by example and leadership.
- Conducts themself before the students and community so as to instil respect and good sportsmanship.
- Assumes responsibility for an energetic public relations program for the Dance Team and their activities.
- Responsible for uniforms and supplies.
- Sees that the team carry out all their duties as set by the advisor's rules.
- Assists with spring clinic for tryouts.
- Responsible for other duties relating to the team as may be directed by the Assistant Director of Athletics & Activities.
