Pay Grade : 57
LOCATION : Facility Services
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT : 12 Months
JOB Description : Performs a variety of general carpentry, maintenance, and repair work on the building and school grounds in order to enhance the instructional environment.
QUALIFICATIONS : High School graduate or equivalent with experience in maintenance, new construction, and / or the use of hand and power tools preferred. Ability to consistently follow directions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs general carpentry in the construction, repair or alteration of roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, and screens.
- Selects, cuts and trims lumber to size, and other appropriate work according to oral or written specifications.
- Operates, adjusts, and maintains power tools and equipment.
- Replaces glass in doors and windows.
- Builds and repairs doors, tables, chairs, and desks.
- Repairs blinds; installs and / or removes white boards and cork boards.
- Assists in changing fluorescent light tubes.
- Performs heavy tasks for considerable periods of time.
- Works Independently and / or as part of a team.

- Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
