About Us: Surf Town Coffee, located on Newport’s Historic Bayfront, is a beloved staple known for our incredible self-roasted coffee, delicious ice cream, and perfect snacks for a summer day on the coast. Voted best Coffee Roaster in Lincoln County, we attract coffee lovers from near and far.
What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking fun, high-energy individuals to join our team of baristas. If you have a passion for great coffee and excellent customer service, we want to hear from you! Previous experience with coffee is a plus but not required.
Position Details:
- Pay: $15 per hour in addition to tips. (When including tips on top of the base hourly rate, may baristas make $16 - 20 per hour)
- Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
- Hours per week: 15-29 or 30-39
- Shifts: 5- 8 hour shifts, Must be available to work Wednesday - Sunday
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Take orders and prepare coffee, tea, other beverages, and ice cream treats to customer specifications
- Operate POS systems and handle credit card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of coffee equipment, seating, and preparation areas
- Complete daily tasks assigned by management

Requirements:
- Open to applicants under 18 years old, provided it is legally allowed
- Open to applicants without a high school diploma/GED
- Experience in barista or hospitality is preferred but not required
- Food Handlers Card is required
